Mantra Me
Don't sweat it don't sweat it don't sweat it. It'll work out honey.
Insurance company not paying all my dental bills.....
Doctors not letting me get a chest x-ray for New Zealand.....
Money is not my friend.....
Oh, the DMV.......
Try again. It'll be ok. You'll be there soon. This stuff is incidental to the important stuff. You have what you need. Make some phone calls, smile at receptionists, buy a plane ticket, get a pap smear.
If worry were a fetus I'd be 9 months pregnant.

Don't worry, it's totally cool. You've got like six weeks before you're supposed to leave, right? Man, we had less than five weeks to sell our house and car and square our cats away and ship a crate of shit here and get x-rays and blood tests and cancel dozens of services and bills and everything. You'll be all right. The people at the NZ consulate in LA are very nice (unless you have direct experience that contradicts that) and helpful. Get Will DeHan to store your mattress. Get Francisco to help pay for your medical tests (I think ours were $500/each, though we had bloodwork and stuff done that you probably won't need). If your regular doctor won't do it, there are clinics that specialize in doing "visa exams"; just bring in the right forms for them to sign. We can get you copies of them if you don't know what you need. It's going to be all right.
shit, i'm not paying for anything. you're on your own, beeyatch! also i am campaigning for the ardents to not make copies of the appropriate forms, and for you to forget anything helpful that joe just said.
